Geaux LSU Law Student Body Association!

Posted by Virginia Huling On January - 20 - 2010

We had been in touch with the LSU Student Bar Association regarding their website. The previous site was very outdated and wasn’t being used at all as a tool for the students and organizations. Scott Sternburg, the new SBA president elect contacted us and wanted to revamp the website.

We focused on creating a modern site that involved the student body with twitter updates, a running calendar of events, fund request forms as well as the wealth of information the SBA has to offer. Not to mention, anytime we get to do work with an LSU theme, it is just plain awesome!

Drift Welcomes Service Rentals, Inc.

Posted by Virginia Huling On January - 14 - 2010

Not too long ago we received a call from Jon Baldwin at Service Rentals, Inc. He was in the market for a new website. His business, supplying turnkey emergency response solutions and industrial tents, had outgrown his old site. He used his original build in two parts: the first was the main part of the site, but many links took the viewer into a different website, that he had built himself in order to keep updated information available to his viewers.

Jon wanted his new site to reflect his industry, as well as layout his two different services into manageable sections in order to better target his market. He was also very concerned with SEO. He hadn’t gotten a lot of web traffic with his previous site and wanted to make sure that was a primary focus. We got together and broke out the two main services, Emergency Response Solutions and Industrial Tent Rentals, From there, we broke down the individual services that is involved with each one, resulting in a deep site that helps with SEO results.

The Emergency Response work Service Rentals provides is amazing! They are able to set up entire command centers, living quarters, catering, shower stations, bathroom facilities and power stations within 24-48 hours for literally hundreds of response workers. Trust me, I’ve seen the pictures and to know that those are set up that quickly is jaw-dropping. Since they own all of their own equipment and provide all of the manpower, they are able to respond to disasters, like the earthquake that just hit Haiti, quickly and efficiently. Just take a look at their site for more info and images.

Regarding Industrial Tent rentals, they are just as cool. Huge tents, used mainly for lunch events are erected and managed. They also offer other tents for storage, even for shelters.

Louisiana Dermatology Associates, Inc. joins Drift!

Posted by Virginia Huling On December - 1 - 2009

We want to extend a warm welcome to our newest client, Louisiana Dermatology Associates! They contacted us about building a website for their three clinics in Baton Rouge, Denham Springs and Gonzales. They had found themselves in a tight spot. They’d entered into an agreement with another company to develop their website and hadn’t heard back from them in some time. After investigating, it appears the other company had folded and disappeared with their initial deposit. Unfortunately,  this can happen with companies in our industry, especially ones that haven’t been able to establish themselves. We were recommended to them by their IT company, Client Technology Services.  We went and met with then and within two weeks had their new website online and ready to go.

Glenda Imes, our contact was wonderful to work with. Her pleasant nature and business efficiency made our job that much easier. She had a packet of info ready to go, with Doctor’s bios, clinic images, business colors and logos. They wanted to convey a sense of comfort and wanted the website to have a soothing feel. We used images of their new custom built 12,000 square foot clinic located off Jefferson Highway as inspiration. We designed three layouts for her to choose from and, once we’d selected the one she wanted and made a few revisions, built the site and had it online. Glenda loved it, and it felt good to restore a little of their faith in our industry. Happy clients make us happy.

DynaGard ecommerce Site Online!

Posted by Virginia Huling On October - 16 - 2009

www.dynagard.info

We met with Brandon at TOPCOR Offshore, Inc. to discuss building an ecommerce site in order to streamline selling one of their products: DynaGard. What is DynaGard you ask? The answer is simple. It is a rigid, composite shell, molded to various sizes to fit on pipes, mostly used within the oil and gas industry. The shell attaches to the pipes and isolates the pipe from its support, preventing rubbing and distress to the pipe itself. See? Simple. And really effective!

Brandon wanted to set up a system that would allow them to distribute DynaGard to their many domestic and international clients easily. We opted for an e-commerce site that gives them complete control over the product, inventory, shipping/taxes…while we handled the zillion other facets that make up an online store.

For the design, we created a modern but clean look and added a Flash billboard to show immediately how simple the product is to use. We also did some product photography for them, recreating their installation document and creating individual images for the product variations.

All in all, it was great working with TOPCOR. Brandon and Maralyn, our contacts, made a very detailed process very easy and enjoyable and Drift was able to create a solution to make their jobs easier.
